This tour is an extended version of "The Essential Beppu tour," covering must-see attractions to understand Beppu's history and culture.
It highlights the best hells (jigoku) of the town, the best view spot, authentic local cuisine and walking through the unique Onsen town.
It is tailored for small groups, with private tour option also available at a reasonable rate.

*About Jigoku-hotspring spots*
1. Chinoike Jigoku (Blood Pond Hell) The oldest jigoku (hell) in Japan. Its name comes from the boiling book-like red color.
2. Kamado Jigoku (Kamado Hell) The name "Kamado Jigoku" (Cooking Pot Hell) comes from an ancient myth,
in which rice was cooked with the 90 degree C hot spring steam as an offering to the guardian god of Kamado Hachimangu Shrine Festival.
It features 6 different types of hot springs, making it a great place to see the various hells in one spot.
3. Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) This 98℃ hot spring gets its name from its cool cobalt color.
Also visit the small museum inside to learn more about history of hot spring in Beppu.
4. Kannawa area, one of the oldest onsen districts in Beppu, famous for its exotic steamy atmosphere.

Guests will have "jigoku-mushi" (hell-steamed dish), food cooked by natural hot spring steam in Kannawa area.
It is an exciting experience to watch the food being steamed in front of you, in an authentic atmosphere filled natural hot spring steam.
14：00 pm Take a guided walk around Kannawa area
